Parked on the corner 1243 35th street and my car got towed. I was in nearby businesses before going into the the shops in front. I was in the parking no longer than 1 and 20minutes. I know this because the first time I did was go to the Wells Fargo atm right on fruitvale with the time stamp 9:59am. By the time I had gone back to the car it was 11:10-:11:15 and I started freaking out because I didn't see the car any more. I then started calling the tow number provided on the flyers in which they didn't answer any of my calls nor could I leave voice mail. I then called my boyfriend and the police to get where about my car. All these calls are time stamped between 11:20-11:34am. I was then guided by one of the fruit stand sellers to go into the pawn shop and ask for the tow number. I did as I was told and I was going into the business anyways to inquire about possible gold repairs(since they sell gold). That's where I was given a different phone number to contact towing, after the second time calling they pick up. They informed me that my car was towed an hour ago!! Meaning my car had to been towed within the 15-20 minutes that it was parked in the lot! What an absolute scam. I complained that I was heaving to those stores regardless after getting my nails done and there had been multiple cars that were there as well without having been towed! Moreover yesterday I was in the same lot giving business to cinco de mayo where two cars were illegally parked and none were towed !! It seems that they are selective about what they tow because the only difference between yesterday and today was that I parked in a more accessible slot. First a disclosure, I bought a car from Phil. Aside from towing service he has a shop and occasionally sells cars. His asking price was very reasonable to begin with, and he gave me a $500 off for those old worn out tires. I ended up paying less for all the parts needed to restore this rig to full functionality. Mind you this car is a 4wd with center diff locker, so this is a screaming bargain. 

He also prepared all DMV paperwork to a point a quick AAA visit is all it takes to get the car on the road legally.

When I was checking the car out I also had a chance to ride with him and had a chat. He is polite, knowledgeable and a pleasant guy to chat with. Your beer buddy sort of guy. I've read some negative reviews - I think some of those unfortunate incidences can't entirely be blamed on his business - apparently I'm the lucky dude who had a stellar experience with him.

This place towed my vehicle and illegally sold it to another person without following the law. Now this person is driving around without changing the license plate. Mr Hunt did nothing resolve the issue after I received $2,000 in fines for whom Mr. Hunt sold the vehicle too. Do not trust this company. Any company who does this is outright wrong.

I went t family towing in Sunnyvale to look at a truck for sale . David helped us through the process smoothly and explained every step. I felt he was honest and didnt waste our time. Phillip towed my car on New Years Eve after I got hit by a diver who was going down the wrong side of the road. He was friendly, professional, and much more affordable than other companies. One company quoted me $250 and Family Towing did the job for $80. He then helped me out a couple days later when I had to tow my car again. 

We had a great conversation about Oakland schools and he offered me advice about my car.  It is a family business and he's invested in his community.  For me, I couldn't disagree more strongly from Grega and Fil M (two other reviewers) as I found Family Towing and Transport to be totally on point and I highly recommend them if you find yourself stranded in the bay area.

Car broke down in a not so good neighborhood. Called my roadside service and they sent this company. As I was waiting for them to show up checked Yelp to read the comments. Well when the driver showed up in a timely manor he was very friendly and got my vehicle and myself home safe. Very nice driver I just wish I remembered his name. He is a coach of a football team. 7/16/19 **Call highway patrol or police before handing over any cash only request, is what I was told I should have done after this matter.** I  was made into a victim!Phillip claim he was the owner of this facility (Head crook!)is very unprofessional and disrespectful ! They all played in part and showed me the best example on how and why a  black owned business could never excel to become larger or greater.Preying on a weak moment in someone life to force them into giving an amount of CASH ONLY in their hand, is dead wrong!$350.00 CASH ONLY ! I was forced into paying to receive my vehicle back.They only had my car in there posession between 15 to 30mins at the most .I read all of their Yelp reviews  and was floored! All of the towing companies with this facility is the only one  with 1 and 1/2 review rating!Everything on here is 100% accurate! These men are crooks!
